Rivers Insurance is an Australian owned business and is proud to support other Aussie owned businesses 24/7 365 days a year. To help our great local clients, we decided to shine the spotlight on a few of them. One of our values is that you will never be alone and during tough times in particular, we take our values seriously.
We know how important it is to support and buy from local businesses. Today we’d like to shine the spotlight on Helen’s European Cuisine.
Location: 16/30 McCotter Street, Acacia Ridge
Years in Business: Opened in 1993 so trading for 28 years
What they sell: Restaurant quality, take-home nutritious food – yummm!
How they got started / where the business idea came from?
Helen Zeniou grew up in Cyprus discovering the powerful connection between people, family, food, and happiness.
This passion for bringing people together through a love of great food is what lead Helen to cook delicious homemade Mediterranean-inspired dishes such as lasagnes, pastries, and quiches for local cafes.
They have grown to become Australia’s leading provider of premium quality handmade savory and sweet food to cafes, delis, restaurants, hotels and beyond across the country.
People were immediately attracted to the traditional flavors of these handmade, premium quality dishes. Word of mouth quickly spread and the rest they say is history.
Why their customers/clients love them:
They are still very proudly 100% family-owned and operated. All of their products are still made by hand, not machines. They are passionate about supporting local Australian producers, sourcing fresh, locally grown ingredients wherever possible.
Their dedicated team works proudly in our state-of-the-art facility in Brisbane to craft their signature savory and sweet products by hand with love. They really believe you can taste the difference. They delight in providing you and your customers with the finest quality food – straight from their kitchen to yours. You’ll want to tell people you made it yourself….
What 3 people would you invite to dinner? Family First and always more than three
If you had $100K how would you spend it? I would invest back into my business so I can further support my staff and various charities we donate to.
