National Insurance Awareness Day
June 22, 2020
Insurance isn’t exactly the most exciting subject in the world, we get it. You cannot see it, like a new pair of shoes, you cannot enjoy it, like a new car but it is one of those things that you rely on for support when you least expect it.
Often it is one of those things you forget about until you need it, kind of like a spare tire or an umbrella.
This is why National Insurance Awareness Day exists and is celebrated every year on June 28. Whilst we are not exactly sure where and when it started, we understand why. Insurance is an important aspect of our lives. From car insurance to business insurance, to home insurance and more, these policies offer a layer of protection to guard us against feeling the harshest of blows by unfortunate events.
What to do on National Insurance Awareness Day
Review your policies
Take time to review your existing policies. Do you have enough coverage? Many people are underinsured and don’t’ realise it. Consider what new purchases, additions to your home, and business you have made in the past 12 months. The value can add up significantly.
Perhaps you have had a change in circumstances or living arrangements. This could also impact your level of insurance. Bottom line is to take a look at what you have
Find the gaps
The next logical step is to find any gaps. Are you missing insurance in one area that you might need like public liability for your business or landlord insurance for your rental property? If you are not sufficiently covered or you aren’t sure, then contact your Rivers Insurance broker which is the next step.
Make the call
Call your Rivers insurance broker to ask about current promotions, services or lock-in rates as well changes in your premiums. You never know what is available unless you ask
