Our people are such an integral part of our business that we wanted to shine a spotlight on our offices and recognise the great work they do.
Say hello to our Cairns based team.
We have 5 staff in our Cairns office. Our longest employee is our Director Rick who has been with the Rivers family for close to 17 years. Our newest recruit is Tegan, who joined us a bit over 3 months ago.
Our office is located at 188 Mulgrave Road, Cairns and we have just moved floors to a new space which is very different to our previous one, way more plants and natural light plus we are in an open office environment. Pop in and say hello if you’re nearby, all welcome anytime.

Some interesting things on our team…
Rick is passionate about his hometown of Cairns and our clients in North Queensland. He follows the Northern Pride and bleeds Red & Green for the South Sydney Rabbitohs. On the weekends he plays golf, his handicap is trying to find his ball after he hits it…
Stacey had worked in our Brisbane office for many years when we sent her to Cairns to help out for a stint. Well, she fell completely in love with the area and the people and never wanted to leave, so, she didn’t. She loves to indulge in the serenity of the rainforest and tries to play tourist closer to home on the weekend but says there is still so much she hasn’t seen yet.
Andrea moved to FNQ last year from the NT and loves the new lifestyle and opportunities FNQ has for her young family. Despite having a couple of young children she loves coming into work and helping clients and working in the insurance industry. Andrea found quickly that it was a true passion so she zoomed through her studies and now looks after our domestic clients. Coming from the NT, Andrea is still working on who to follow in Rugby League – QLD or NSW and it is a contentious work in progress.
David is passionate about his family, just like his work and coffee. He may not have all the answers but he will be truthful about it and is willing to help where he can. Being an Ipswich Grammar boy he follows the mighty Qld Reds and Maroons and also Brisbane Broncos. In his downtime, he enjoys hunting and fishing in the Far North Qld.
Tegan was raised in North Queensland and comes from a large family.. being the 8th and youngest sibling, she’s often referred to as the ‘Golden Child’ in her family. She is a proud fur mum of a 4-year-old Staffy named “Bubbles”, who pays a visit to the Cairns office from time to time. Tegan is only new to our team, being with Rivers for 3 months now, however, she’s been in the insurance industry for 5 years, working alongside Senior Commercial Brokers.
