Spotlight on our Claims & Finance teams

Our people are such an integral part of our business that we wanted to shine a spotlight on our Claims and Finance team. Although you may not speak to them as much as the Brokers, they are equally important, particularly when things go wrong.

Our claims team is made of Dan, Michelle, and Jodie. They are responsible for keeping the insurers honest and moving forward with your claim from Lodgement to all repairs being completed or a payout being made.

As you can imagine, making a claim can be stressful at times and they manage to do their job with empathy and professionalism to guide you through the process

You can tell from his photo, Dan (also know as Cuz to his close friends) is one of the youngest and happiest Lawn Bowlers we know.  He recently was invited to compete in the AusOpen Bowls Competition on the Gold Coast in a team of 4 and also played in a District competition where he was beaten by Keppler Wessels (yes.. the South African cricketer)… wonder what he will do when he eventually retires…

Michelle might be new to the team but it feels like she has been with us for years…. The best bit about working with Michelle is not just her calm and considered approach but how she whips up goodies to bring into the office – her passionfruit slice is to die for!

Jodie has been with our Claims Team for a few years now and we are surprised she has any energy when she comes to work.  Hearing all the stories about her daughter Zara who started prep this year is enough to make us all feel tired…..so much energy!

Our Finance Team makes sure all our bills are paid (including paying us !), all our accounts, systems, and office are kept spick and span.  All the usual stuff….

Della has been with the company for close to 12 years and we consider her our bookkeeper extraordinaire.  You will find anyone more passionate about her job and her family.  Whilst being one of the wiser ones in our team, she is also the most important… you see she pays us!

April is one of the more recent additions to our Rivers family, starting about 9 months ago.  She is full of energy and questions plus loves weekend adventures.  Lockdowns during COVID have not necessarily been enjoyed, she loves being in the office and able to talk face to face with the Brisbane Team.

Nerida has been with Rivers for over 6 years and loves the change of industries.  On weekends she like being outdoors.  She completed Kokoda a few years back and more recently has started cycling with a group of mates, and took the plunge to sign up to do the 100 kms Brisbane to Gold Coast event… can’t wait to hear how it goes….
